PORTAGRID ENERGY STORAGE
The brainchild of Jason Pyne, Director of Australian Sustainable Energy Solutions, Portagrid is the world’s first rapidly re-deployable, renewable off-grid energy storage and generation system, and winner of the TNQiA Eco Innovation award.
This purpose-built system is ideal for remote and harsh areas, providing power for small to large dwellings, aid organisations, defence, agricultural and mining operations as well as off-grid rural communities.
The large scale Portagrid units have been designed to provide energy generation and storage with optional additions of water filtration, CCTV, Wi-Fi capabilities and remote monitoring and controlling.
Portagrid consists of a modular, transportable container with the latest battery, inverter and generation technology to ensure a continuous supply of power that can be shipped anywhere around the world.
Once delivered to site, Portagrid systems can be ready and operational within hours.
REMOTE AREA POWER SUPPLY
Provides 24 hour power as a standalone power system or in a hybrid configuration (with integrated backup diesel generator).
Suitable for use in remote areas where power grid network does not exist and where the costs or personal risk prohibit the use of other generators.

REDUCED COSTS
Portagrid systems are built and fully tested in-house prior to dispatch, providing a low risk alternative to on-site, custom built systems. Removing risks of delays at installation, in some cases installation costs and time may be reduced by up to 97%.
CONTAINERISED SOLUTION
Complete system is contained within 8′, 20′ and 40′ modified containers and duplication of containers is possible, and easily shipped and transported to site.

APPLICATIONS
Remote Area Power Supply (RAPS)
- Provides 24hr power as a standalone power system or in a hybrid configuration (with integrated backup diesel generator).
- Suitable for use in remote areas where power grid network does not exist.
- Suitable where the costs or personal risk prohibit use of other generators.
Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)
- Provides a seamless change-over to back-up power when the grid network fails.
- Suitable for commercial operations where reliability of power supply prohibits risk of financial losses.
- Also suitable for where supply of power is critical e.g. military operations or life support etc.
Demand Management (DMS)
- A load management system that can reduce peak loads, provide load smoothing, shifting or shaping.
- Peak load reduction can reduce peak demand related cost of your energy bill.
- Load smoothing allows you to install larger amounts of Solar PV without causing negative impacts on Isolated system (diesel grid) networks during times of a cloud event when the solar power drops or increases quickly.
Grid Support System (GSS)
- Provides grid network operators with power quality and reliability by regulating power line voltage and frequency.
- The system can also provide reactive power control which ensures power quality and optimum network operating levels.
